The Tesla Model 3 Entertainment Guide: What Works Before You Install Anything

The Model 3 runs the same infotainment software as the rest of Tesla's current lineup, so almost everything here holds whatever the model year. The differences from a Model Y are about the car, not the software.

Start with what's already built in

In the US, Tesla Theater, the car's built-in entertainment menu, has tiles for Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, Twitch and TikTok. Since late August 2026, Tesla's browser also opens HBO Max, Paramount+, Peacock, Apple TV, Disney+, Plex and Prime Video (through amazonprime.com) full-screen, without the browser's toolbars. Availability varies by region and software version. If what you want is on that list, you can open it directly.

What's still awkward without a launcher

Free live TV doesn't get the same treatment, and typing long addresses on the car's keyboard is slow. That's the gap TeslaStreams fills. Open teslastreams.com in the car's browser and you get one screen with:

• Your streaming services. Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, HBO Max, Paramount+, Peacock, Apple TV, Hulu, Spotify and Tubi. Each tile opens that service's own website, where you sign in with your own account.
• YouTube and Twitch, right on the page. Both play inside TeslaStreams through their own official players.
• Live TV. Free channels from Tubi, plus live news from YouTube that plays right on the page.
• Radio and podcasts, built in. Live stations from around the world, and search for any podcast.
• Six games. Chess, checkers, Four in a Row, sudoku, 2048 and Glitch Hunt, our own slingshot physics game. More in our games guide.

Video and audio never pass through our servers; they stream straight from each service to the car.

Signing in

You sign in to each service on its own website, the same way you would on a laptop. TeslaStreams never asks for or sees your streaming passwords.

Model 3 specifics

Newer Model 3s have a small rear screen for back-seat passengers. It has no web browser, so TeslaStreams, like any website, runs on the main screen.

Waiting at a charging stop

A free live channel, a podcast episode or a quick sudoku fits a 20-minute stop better than a film you'll have to pause. Our Supercharging guide has more.

What's intentionally absent

TeslaStreams has games, but they're our own: there's no emulator and no ROM library anywhere. We also don't accept IPTV playlist links (M3U, Xtream or otherwise) from anyone. Both are common in this category, and both put users in a legal gray area.
